Anglican Church. In the same street as the cafe and shaded by magnificent oak trees, the church and grounds exude an atmospheric charm all year round. Popular for weddings, the church offers a fortnightly service on the first and third Sundays of each month at 11.30am
Self-guided heritage walk. Devised by some dynamic locals, the heritage walk is a great way to take in the historic buildings and many charms of our quaint little township. Free tour-maps are available from most businesses within the town.
River walk. The river walk is a gentle 20 minute amble along the Jamieson River as it weaves around the edge of town. A good starting point is at the foot of Grey St. Turn left, stroll through the walkway in the caravan park and you are on your way. Follow the river, passing many good swimming spots, until you reach Brewery Bridge and head back through the streets of town.
Jamieson Post Office. One of our favourite things about Jamieson is its fully functioning, historical Post Office. It offers a free book exchange, internet access, banking facilities and jams and preserves for sale, but just intend to buy a postage stamp if its the excuse you need to walk through the door. The original countertops and writing desks are still in place and reek of living history. We love it! Introduce yourself to Julie the post mistress - she's a gem. (There's even a resident ghost who makes regular "appearances")
Courthouse Museum. Open weekends from Melbourne Cup Weekend to Easter and housed in the old courthouse building, the museum offers an interesting step back in time. Enquiries: 5777 0690
PLACES WE RECOMMEND YOU VISIT IN JAMIESON
Kevington Hilton. A historic pub, built in 1862, a short and scenic 10 minute drive down the road from Jamieson. The place is so rich in history you can just about scrape it off the walls. It has one of the best beer gardens a pub can offer, being on the banks of the mighty Goulburn River. Presently back in the care of the Poole family, the place oozes warmth and rustic charm. Meals, accommodation, camping, swimming. Enquiries: 5777 0543

Colonial Bank Place Museum, Cafe and Bed & Breakfast. The newest kid on the block. Naturally we don't want to push their cafe too much since we want you to remain devoted to ours. But nor do we want to deprive you of the opportunity to see a fairly amazing array of radios, phones, gramophones and all things relating to the broadcasting of sound. The Colonial also offers great 'olde worlde' accommodation, so check it out. Enquiries: 5777 0605
Bimbi Car & Memorabilia Museum. Just over the road from the Jamieson Berry Farm, Bimbi is the place for lovers of old cars. Enquiries: 5777 0733

Emerald Park Holiday Farm. Perfect for families wanting to give their children a taste of country life. In a beautiful rural setting children are able to play and run free. Daily animal feeding sessions bring children in touch with all things cute and furry. The great delight of collecting still-warm eggs for breakfast is unforgettable. (Perkins & Grey uses Emerald Park's fresh, chemical-free lettuces in all their salads, plus their other delicious produce when in season. We also sell the eggs that the children were unable to find).

Berrington Holiday Units. Berrington offers four cottages and the main house for accommodation and we recommend you book the main house. Spacious, homely and strewn with interesting books, the house is set in one of the best, if not the best, garden in Jamieson. Well-established towering European trees give welcome shade in summer while beneath them there are plenty of nooks and crannies where cottage flowers and fairies dance side by side. Perfectly located a short stroll from the shops and an even shorter stroll to the river.
